Best Practices

Chart Palette Selection

  • Choose palettes with sufficient contrast between adjacent colors for accessibility
  • Use the monochrome palette when creating charts for black-and-white printing
  • Create custom palettes that align with your company’s brand guidelines
  • Test palettes with actual chart data to ensure readability

CRM Workflow Configuration

  • Set up dedicated workflows for leads and opportunities with clear, sequential statuses
  • Ensure the “Converted Status” represents a terminal state in the lead workflow
  • Configure the “Initial Status” as the first step in your opportunity sales process
  • Assign teams that have members available to work new leads and opportunities

Organizational Coordination

  • Coordinate company settings changes with stakeholders before applying
  • Document custom palette colors for brand consistency
  • Train users on workflow changes before updating CRM settings
  • Review settings periodically to ensure they align with current business processes

Troubleshooting

Charts not showing updated colors

  • Clear your browser cache and refresh the page
  • Verify the palette was saved successfully (check for confirmation toast)
  • Ensure you’re viewing a chart that uses the chart color system

CRM workflow dropdown is empty

  • Verify that workflows exist in the system (see Workflows)
  • Check that workflow names contain CRM-related keywords (“sales”, “crm”, “lead”, or “opportunity”)
  • Ensure you have permission to view workflows

Status dropdown is disabled

  • Select a workflow first—status options depend on the selected workflow
  • Verify the selected workflow has statuses configured

Changes not applying for other users

  • Company settings changes apply immediately but may require other users to refresh their browser
  • Verify the save operation completed successfully
  • Check that all users are logged into the same company account

Cannot access Company Settings

  • Verify you have administrator permissions
  • Check that you have the appropriate security group role assigned
  • Contact your system administrator for access

Custom palette not saving

  • Ensure all 11 color slots have valid colors selected
  • Verify the palette name is not empty
  • Check for any validation error messages in the form
